The Student Legal Service is run by dedicated University of Tasmania (UTAS) students for the benefit of the entire community. It is free and confidential, and supported by great local lawyers.
The general advice sessions are available for both students and the community. The specialist migration advice service is available exclusively for UTAS students. We host permanent residency information sessions which are open to the public, see our current news tab for more information.
Our most capable student volunteers in their final years at University participate in both the general and migration advice sessions under the supervision of legal practitioners (general sessions) and a registered migration agent (migration sessions).
Please note that the Student Legal Service has finished for 2019 and will not be offering appointments until the commencement of Semester 1 2021.
